SELFLESS LEADER
Lokesh Chugh is the National Secretary Incharge Media and Communications of NSUI, the student wing of Indian National Congress. He was appointed by Neeraj Kundan, National President NSUI and approved by National President Smt. Sonia Gandhi.
He has humble beginnings as he was born in Delhi to a middle- class business family. He is a firm believer of student politics as he wants the young minds of India to lead the nation towards development and prosperity. He started active politics in 2016. He says he always felt the lack of middle-class students voices in Indian politics and now he aims to make these unheard voices heard in the political echelons as every section of the society needs to be part of the democratic process and we have to be active citizens who assert themselves in the politics.
He is the voice of the student community as he raises pertinent questions that concern the interests of students. During COVID, he is actively working with students who are facing problems due to online education and demanding assertively that interests and needs of the student community should be considered deeply in the policy making process. He raises multiple student issues from fee hike to cancellation of exams that make headlines in the news as he has a solution-oriented approach and works relentlessly for the upliftment of students which will lead them towards a brighter future.
As Martin Luther King Jr said it rightly, the time is always right to do what is right. Similarly, Lokesh Chugh is a ray of hope for millions of students who aspire to bring social change in the society. We need more young people like Lokesh Chugh who want to work towards nation-building. His vision to create awareness among the citizens of India about their rights and duties speaks a lot about his personality.
Recently Lokesh Chugh requested AIIMS to postpone INICT exam because most of the aspirants of this exam are currently on Covid duties and cannot abstain from the responsibility without prior notice of one month. He is a prominent personality among the youth of this nation and a personality with influential behaviour. He possessed the traits of a good leader and the man of democratic voice.
His party is the oldest party of this nation which was inaugurated in 1885 by A. O. Hume. He follows the thought process of the party of centrist philosophy with the agenda of awakening youth in order to develop themselves for the betterment of the society which is ultimately going to boost the growth of the nation itself.
He is spreading the ideology of his parent party that is Big Tent secularism. As Karl Marx said that Religion is indeed the self – consciousness and self – esteem of man who has either not yet won through to himself or has already lost himself again. But man is no abstract being squatting outside the world. Man is the world of state and society. Similarly, Lokesh Chugh is also a man of state and society. His nature of being selfless and developing with the development of the roots of the society.
His confidence in communicating things to the youth is the Unique Selling Preposition of his behaviour. He is a man with extraordinary convincing skills. The most important skills for a good leader are Integrity, Empathy, Self – Awareness, Humility and Trust. Lokesh Chugh possesses all these traits and continuously evolves in all these traits. With the support of National President of Indian National Congress that is Smt. Sonia Gandhi, he is organising and flourishing many awareness and cultural programs in order to awaken the youth of this nation with the Energy of creating a society where all are equal and all are doing their job with Honesty and Integrity.
